Description of Duties :

Qualification/ Required Experience :
- Significant years of industry or consulting IT experience with four-year degree or equivalent preferred.
- Significant years of industry or consulting IT experience with advanced degree or equivalent preferred.
- At least two full-lifecycle Cognos implementations with technical leadership responsibilities for project.
- Experience in Life Sciences or other FDA regulated environment is a plus.
Desired Skills/Experience :

- Play a key role as an IT business analyst and coordinator in the marketing BI applications within the organization
- Gather requirements, design & integration testing BI application solutions

Technical Skills Required :
- Strong understanding of Cognos Suite of Products Series 7 & Cognos 8.x experience as Cognos Administrator and Developer
- Should have ReportNet Experience, Framework Manager
- Should have strong understanding of data modeling and basic data warehousing principles
- Design data model and integrate/implement new data sources following design standards and proven best practices
- Sound understanding of SQL Server databases, Stored Procedures
- Must have some experience with migration of Series 7.x to Cognos 8.x
- Generate test scripts and test plan for all Cognos deliverables
Document test scripts, per provided template and samples, to provided requirements
Execute documented test scripts and document results
Perform performance tuning of Cognos deliverables
- Reporting Architecture and configuration/customization experience.
Bonus Qualifications :
- Certification from Cognos
- Knowledge of Siebel 7.x architecture desirable.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards or any ERP system and its architecture.

Cognos Developer : Planning, Metrics Manager, Framework,
Reporting Cognos8 and Informatica ETL. Candidate must have solid BI and
ETL experience. Cognos Planning experience is required and Informatica
